The emergence of drug-resistant bacteria is often put forward as irrefutable evidence for evolution. While the rise of multidrug-resistant superbugs is an ever-increasing medical problem, is this phenomenon really the irrefutable evidence for evolution as claimed? This talk shows that at the molecular level the changes that have occurred to render these bacteria ‘superbugs’ result from either a loss of genetic information or, at best, a lateral transfer of existing information. Far from being irrefutable evidence for evolution as claimed, this phenomenon is entirely consistent with a biblical creation worldview.
